Olympic Granola - gourmet granola bars

og-trailbar.pngIf you've never tried Olympic Granola's gourmet granola bars, I'd highly recommend you do. We are just now able to pick these up at various Minneapolis / St. Paul retailers such as Kowalski's, Whole Foods, and local food co-ops. Before that, you had to place an order with their West Coast distributor Azure Standard, but even better, they now sell their products directly from their own Web site at http://OlympicGranola.com/store/.

We've tried each of the 8 varieties of bars they sell, but we have our definite favorites. Mine are the Chocolate Peanut Trail Bars and my wife's would be the Espresso Almond Chocolate Coffee House Bars (wow, that's a mouthful - pun intended). But really, we haven't tried one we didn't like - they have 3 other flavors in the Coffee House Bar line, two others in the Trail Bar line (Almond Chocolate is really good too), and a third line called Sunshine Bars.

From what I know about the company, they are a family owned business that originated out of the Pacific Northwest (hence the name, referring to the Olympic mountain/peninsula region of Washington state). All their products contain natural ingredients like rolled oats, honey, flax seeds, roasted almonds, etc - but the best thing is they don't load them up with all the fillers you find in other granola products. PLUS, no high fructose corn syrup! Only all natural sweeteners!

We love Olympic Granola and highly suggest you try them if you haven't already.
